This tool can be used to edit database or XML based SSIS Configurations.

 What it does:

  • Allows you to add, edit, and delete configuration items in existing XML configuration files.
  • Allows you to add, edit, and delete configuration items in existing configuration database tables.

What it doesn't do:

  • Create new XML configuration files from scratch. You have to start with an existing file.
  • Same thing applies for database tables.
  • It doesn't handle environment variable based configurations.
  • It doesn't validate what you enter. It's up to you to make sure the path is valid, and that the value can be cast to the correct data type.

This is tool is under development, and has had limited testing, so use at your own risk. All the standard disclaimers apply.

Really usefull.. May I request a change in this tool. :) I need this tool to show existing configuration from some another tool. Can you provide a command line parameter which will accept the dtsConfig file name and It will open the supplied file whie opening the editor.

Nice Tool, thank you! for me, there is a little problem: In my package I switch the 'initial katalog' for a existing connection. So I have the same 'PackagePath' (In different 'Filter'). Filter ConfiguredValue PackagePath f1 tempdb .Properties[InitialCatalog] f2 mydb .Properties[InitialCatalog] The tool can't read this (Error Message: duplicate Key). But this is false. The (unique)Key is not 'PackagePath'. It's a combinated key (Filter, PackagePath).
